Anybody out there who is not dreaming about having a house at the ocean?
We did - and made the dream come true. Throughout the building process plans underwent constant changes in order to optimize the view - which is absolutely breathtaking.
Our house is called ALMIRIDA - after the trees surrounding it. In the basement there are two independant holiday homes. Studio AIOLOS is facing south, studio BOREAS faces southwest. We live on the upper floor with a separate entrance to keep the privacy of our guests.
ALMIRIDA is located close to Agios Pavlos, on the southcoast of Crete, right on the sea. Only 250 steps until you reach a small pebble beach. If you feel like walking on, you will find lovely and secluded spots for a swimm and a sunbath in between the rocks. The village Agios Pavlos with its tavernas and a nice beach bar is about two kilometers away. The bigger and more vivid Agia Galini is a half hour drive away.
Uphill there are the three holiday homes of our neighbours, other than that there is only nature surrounding us.
